KLM, Kenya Airways, and Spanish Honorary Consulate, Broad Street

This is the entrance to the building on the north side of the block of Broad Street between Randall and Mechlin Streets. It is commonly known as the KLM building, and although it still has the "GSA KLM" sign (General Service Agents), KLM doesn't fly here anymore, although they once did, and may so again. Kenya Airways does, and its a very busy route, which connects to KLM in Accra. That is how I am flying out of here today.
There are a number of Embassies and Honorary Consulates here, although not as many as there were before the war.

Bernard's Beach

Its easy to get to Bernard's Beach, as it is right near the Old Road Junction in Sinkor. Its not quite as well kept as other beaches, but it is so close, and its really nice, especially in the evenings. There is a big lagoon there, with lots of hermit crabs (kissmeat, as the locals call it-- those are the little black dots in the water in the bottom picture), and there are usually some locals around, who often are interested in conversation. The view back to Central Monrovia is also nice.
